The anthropologist Dan Podjed is a researcher at the Institute for Slovenian Ethnology at the Scientific Research Institute of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts, and is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Ljubljana. From 2010 to 2018 he was the coordinator of the Network for Applied Anthropology of the European Association of Social Anthropologists (EASA). On his initiative and under his leadership the Network has organised international symposia since 2013 on “Why the World Needs Anthropologists” His research concentrates on problems in the relations between humans and contemporary technology.

Dr Rajka Glušica (nee Bigović) is Professor of Linguistics at the University of Montenegro. She completed undergraduatestudies at the Department for Serbo-Croatian Language and Yugoslav Literature of the Philosophical Faculty of the University of Nikšić, and completed masters’ and doctoral degrees at the Faculty of Philology of the University of Belgrade. For four years (1989-1993) she taught the Serbo-Croatian language at François Rabelais University in Poitiers, France. She has held invited lectures at the universities of Oslo (2007), Ljubljana (2013. i 2016), Novi Sad (2013), and Humboldt University in Berlin (2018). She is editor of the journal for research on linguistics and literature Riječ. She has authored numerous works on linguistics, several textbooks, as well as scientific articles and reviews.
