r_haliliThe anthropologist Rigels Halili (b. 1975, Gjirokaster, Albania) first studied at Eqrem Çabej University in his native city, then, thanks to a fellowship from the Polish government, continued his studies at the University of Warsaw. He received his doctorate in 2009 from the Institute for Polish Culture of the University of Warsaw. In 2004-2005 he studied in London as a fellow of the University College London School for Slavonic and East European Studies (UCL-SSEES), and he returned to UCL-SSEES from 2007 to 2010 as the Alexander Nash Fellow for Albanian Studies. From 2010 to 2015 he worked at the Institute for Slavic Philology at the Nicholas Copernicus University in Toruń, and has taught since 2015 at the University of Warsaw, where he directs the programme for specialist studies of the Balkans
