On Wednesday 26 August, Đorđe Stojanović, known to his friends as Joe and to many others as Uncle Đorđe, passed away. This a loss to literature in Serbia, which is left without a person who was completely dedicated to books. He was the owner and director of the publisher and distributor Krug Komerc, an the co-publisher and distributor of Biblioteka XX Vek. Working unobtrusively, but also tirelessly and conscientiously as a publisher, producer of books and distributor, Đorđe accomplished much more than many colleagues who are better known to the public.
